Text Box:   Mark,                                                                                                                      It was good to hear from you and let us congratulate you on your new venture. You probably don’t realize it, but you helped us enormously as our love and understanding of the sport of sailing developed over the last 15 years.      After years of sailing small boats you sold us our first cruising boat, a 1988 C&C 30. Russ was developing some mobility problems at that time and you were extremely sensitive to our needs. Two seasons later you sold the C&C for us and sold us a brand new Sabre 362. After several wonderful years with the Sabre we decided to down size so you worked out a deal where we took a 32 Sabre in trade for the 36 Sabre plus a very generous amount of cash. As I think back I remember that you also sold a Tartan 10 for us. We were always amazed at the amount of money you got for our boats.      You know we enjoyed your company and your relaxed demeanor. We don’t like pushy salesmen and your polite, professional manner is a delight to experience. Over the years you gave us very good advice and probably stopped us from doing things we would have regretted. When we first met you, you advised against buying a boat we that were looking at. Pretty honest I thought: almost too honest. I said something about it to you and you responded that you were going to be selling boats for a lot of years and we were going to be buying them. You said you knew we’d come back if you treated us right, and indeed we did.      You’ve also been a wise advisor on maintenance issues. You really know the marine service industry on the lakes and we never hesitated to follow your recommendation. When you were involved in the service issues yourself, we always  experienced timely, high quality outcomes. A case in point, you personally did a last minute delivery of the C&C 30 on the 4th of July weekend.      Not only did you treat us well when we were a customer, but we’ve continued to rely on your advice after we left the Buffalo area. We bought a Pacific Seacraft in St Thomas, recently sold it and bought a Beneteau First 32 that we are sailing on Biscayne Bay. You provided helpful advice on each of these transactions, free of charge.      We’re pleased to unconditionally recommend you as an honest and knowledgeable marine professional.
